Mga higala! The National Telecommunications Commission of Region X (NTC-X) is now warning the public against TEXT SCAMS that are currently spreading nationwide!
Everyone is urged to ignore texts (like the one below) and avoid replying!
Any sort of response may help scammers execute their modus.
In a recent interview with RMN Malaybalay, Engr. Vixter Abaday of NTC-X said that malicious organized groups may be behind these text scams.
However, they’re having a hard time tracking suspects since they are using prepaid SIM cards.
