OCTA Flags Cagayan de Oro City As COVID-19 “Area Of Concern”

Mga higala! The OCTA Research Group has recently flagged Cagayan de Oro City as an “area of concern” due to its spike in COVID-19 cases!

Cagayan de Oro was tagged with the said category together with 2 other cities outside NCR Plus:

“Outside the NCR Plus, the following are considered areas of concern due to a rise in new COVID-19 cases: Cagayan de Oro in Misamis Oriental, Puerto Princesa in Palawan, and Bacolod in Negros Occidental.”

ICYDK, CDO has been having over 50 new cases daily, which is 2-3 times higher compared to the lower daily tallies recorded earlier this 2021.

The city has even recorded 128 new local COVID-19 cases during the recent weekend, May 8 and 9:
