Online Sellers Who Earn P250K & Below Exempted From BIR Registration- DTI

Mga higala! Online sellers who earn P250,000 and below in a year– are exempted from registering their business with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)!

ICYMI, the said bureau recently reminded those into digital transactions such as online sellers to register and declare their past transactions “subject to pertinent taxes” on or before July 31.

According to DTI Sec. Ramon Lopez: “Excluded naman talaga dito maliliit na negosyante. Kung ang kita nila P250,000 and below, sila ay exempted naman sa pagre-register.”

However, he also said that this is an important measure for traceability of what we buy online and this type of registration aims to protect consumers.

He then added that “At the same time… we also believe in the principle na kung gusto mong lumaki ang negosyo mo, kailangan magregister ka.”
