10 May 0.64% of Overseas Absentee Voters (OAV) Votes are in – Duterte Leads!
On May 9, 8:49 pm, the partial results for the overseas absentee voters (OAV) have been released. With a total of 1,376,067 registered Filipino voters outside the country for the 2016 election, the reported 7,582 votes are representing only 0.64% of OAV votes from 8 cluster precincts. 1,237 more clustered precincts abroad are still to transmit their results.
The results for this partial transmission of votes are in favor of Davao City Mayor, Rodrigo Duterte with huge lead accumulating 68.23% of the votes or 5,096 votes. Next to him is Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago with 999 votes (13.37%). Mar Roxas ranked third with 708 votes (9.47%). Trailing him is Senator Grace Poe with 507 votes (6.78%), and Vice President Jejomar Binay is in the last place with 157 votes (2.10%).
For the Vice-Presidential race, Marcos is at the top with 3,673 votes (49.24%). Next to him is Duterte’s running-mate Senator Alan Peter Cayetano with 2,553 votes (34.22%). The current leading Vice-Presidential candidate and Liberal Party (LP) bet Leni Robredo only places herself at the third spot with 896 votes (12.01%). Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero, Antonio Trillanes IV and Gregorio Honasan are at the bottom of the list with 249 (3.33%), 54 (0.72%), 34 votes (0.45%), respectively.
