09 Aug P13.00 per meal: Budget For 700+ Prisoners @ Misamis Oriental Provincial Jail
Mga higala! In case you don’t know, every prisoner in the Misamis Oriental Provincial Jail (MOPJ) located on Gen A. Luna Street, Cagayan de Oro City has a budget of P13.00 per meal.

Base on an article by Sunstar CDO, this information is said to have been confirmed by MOPJ Jail Warden Dominador Tagarda. And, this budget which accumulates from 700+ male and 49 female inmates is then used to shop for the prisoners’ everyday food supply.
Tagarda also added that even with this budget, Governor Bambi Emano ordered them to make sure that each inmate will receive proper nutrition from their every meal. A nutritionist is also tasked to monitor the quality of their food.
