In an article from Sunstar.com, a suspected illegal drug lord identified as Raul Tapere, 35 years old, was arrested by police operatives in drug operation last Wednesday, June 28, at NHA, Kauswagan, Cagayan de Oro City.
During the operation, authorities retrieved P1 million worth of shabu.
Authorities confiscated 26 sachets of shabu in different sizes and weighing about 60.45 grams for a total of around P800,000.
According to Senior Police Office 2 (SPO2) Jigger Rojo, this is only an estimated value since there has been an increase in the price of shabu upon monitoring.
Because of the huge amount of the confiscated sachets of drugs, Tapere has been tagged as a drug lord and will be facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (RA 9165).
It was also discovered during the investigation that a number of men have been working under Tapere in running the drug trade in the city and may have also been supplying drugs throughout Misamis Oriental.
During the interrogation, Tapere did not reveal who his supplier is and admitted that a 14-year-old minor has also been helping him in the trade.
