26 Jul Philippine Army to Investigate CDO Army Official To Determine Involvement in Illegal Drug Operations

After a drug raid was conducted at a house owned by a former mayor of Maguing town in Lanao del Sur, Haj. Johairah Bagumbung Macabuat, and her husband Maj. Suharto Tambidan Macabuat in Grand Ballon, Barangay Kauswagan, Cagayan de Oro City, the Philippine Army is going to investigate if Macabuat is involved in illegal drug operations.
According to PA spokesperson Col. Benjamin Hao, “If there is an evidence that will show Macabuat is indeed linked with illegal drug operation, he will be referred to either the military court martial or the Army’s Efficiency and Separation Board (ESB).”
Some short firearms and large quantity of drugs were seized from Macabuat’s house.
