21 Dec PAGASA Clarifies Rumors About Low Pressure Area This Christmas
Mga higala! The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) published a post yesterday, December 20, 2021, aiming to clarify the rumors of a low-pressure area (LPA) that will enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) before Christmas and affect the Mindanao area!
According to the said post, below are the current information about the said weather system:
PAGASA is now monitoring an LPA over the Pacific that is expected to enter PAR on December 23 or 24. It will be closest to the landmass of Mindanao on the evening of the 25th or the morning of the 26th.
However, this LPA only has a 30-40% chance of developing into a tropical depression.
The public is now urged to continue monitoring for updates and remain vigilant against unofficial information coming from unverified sources.
