02 Mar PBA 2017 All-Star Weekend to be held in CDO on April 26
Calling all Kagay-anon basketball fans! Brace yourselves for this good news from the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) as they have announced that the national basketball players is set to play in Cagayan de Oro City for the 2017 All-Star Weekend.
According to a report from ABS-CBN News, the players will fly to the city of golden friendship on April 26 as players who were in Mindanao will play against the famous Gilas Pilipinas national team.
Mac Belo, who is from North Cotabato and is a Gilas player will play for the PBA instead of the national team.
Aside from Cagayan de Oro, the players will also visit the other parts of the country such as Lucena and Cebu.
Players from Luzon will face off against Gilas Pilipinas on April 28 as PBA players will return to Lucena, Quezon. Japeth Aguilar from Pampanga will also play for the PBA.
The three-point shootout, slam dunk competition and obstacle challenge will also be played at Lucena.
And lastly, the players will travel to Cebu on April 30. Players who were born in Visayas is still going to compete against the Gilas Pilipinas players. JuneMar Fajardo, from Cebu and is a three-time PBA MVP, will also play for the PBA against Gilas.
The league will also hold outreach events during the All-Star Weekend.
