13 Oct PBBM Signs Law Moving Brgy & SK Elections To October 2023
Mg higala! President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has signed a law officially moving the national Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections this December 2022 to October 2023!
According to the said law, Republic Act (RA) No. 11935, the said elections will now be held on the last Monday of October 2023 and “every 3 years thereafter”. The term of new Barangay and SK officials will then start on November 30.
With this, the current barangay and SK officials will remain in office until their successors are elected next year unless they are removed or suspended.
