07 Jun PCG Cadet From CDO Receives Scholarship From US Coast Guard Academy
Mga higala! Kieth Nico Carreon of Cagayan de Oro City, a cadet of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), has recently received a scholarship from the United States Coast Guard Academy (USCGA)!
Cadet Carreon, together with Cadet John Rex Gaviola, was chosen from a total of 111 aspiring PCG cadets who applied for the International Cadetship Program. They will be part of the USCGA-Class of 2025.
ICYMI, an oath-taking and scholarship contract signing for this was held last June 4, 2021, led by PCG Commandant, Admiral George V Ursabia Jr.

Moreover, Cadet Carreon will be formally appointed as an international cadet of the USCGA at the swearing-in ceremony at New London, Connecticut this coming June 28, 2021.
