03 Apr PH Government Plans to Start Massive Testing of COVID-19 PUMs, PUIs on April 14
In a press briefing that was streamed live at Camp Aguinaldo last April 2, 2020, National Task Force (NTF) COVID-19 chief implementer Secretary Calito Galvez, Jr. said that the government is eyeing to start the mass testing of suspected coronavirus patients this coming April 14, 2020.
Galvez said that they are asking the Department of Health (DOH) to speed up processing the request for accreditation of hospitals for coronavirus testing.
By April 14, the government will then conduct the massive testing for COVID-19 persons under investigation (PUIs) and persons under monitoring (PUMs).
As of Thursday afternoon, there were 2,633 confirmed cases, with 107 fatalities recorded.
