21 Aug PH Navy Approves Special Enlistment Of Carlo Paalam

Mga higala! The Philippine Navy has approved the enlistment application of silver medalist Carlo Paalam!
To make it official, an oath-taking ceremony was conducted yesterday, August 20, 2021, during their courtesy call at the Philippine Navy headquarters in Manila. Paalam now has the rank of apprentice seaman.
“Lubos po akong nagpapasalamat kasi pangarap ko talagang maging sundalo.”
According to the navy, Paalam will be considered as regular navy personnel and he will have 3 years to decide if he will continue serving.
If he decides to do so, he will then be required to under basic military training.
