08 Jan Phase 1 Of Bukidnon Airport Now @ 98%
Mga higala! The Phase 1 or “earthworks” of the Bukidnon Airport in Brgy. Maraymaray, Don Carlos, Bukidnon is now at 98%!
This was disclosed by Mayor Victoria “Alona” Ontanillas-Pizarro in a recent briefing with PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar.
Mayor Ontanillas-Pizarro then added that the domestic airport’s land acquisition is now at 85% and the affected residents are currently being relocated. She also said that this airport is only around 7 kilometers away from their “Poblacion” and is surrounded by agricultural areas planted with sugarcane, corn, and pineapples.
To prepare for the airport, Don Carlos is improving its infrastructure with the rehabilitation of municipal streets, the construction of six-lane roads, a mall, and more.
(ICYDK, the coming Phase 2 is the concreting of the airport’s runway.)
