15 Sep LOOK: Phase 1 Of CDO Coastal Road Now Almost Finished- Streetlights, Bike Lanes, & More To Follow
Mga higala! Phase 1 of the 17.95-kilometer Cagayan de Oro Coastal Road that connects the city’s Brgy. Gusa and the Brgy. Igpit of Opol, Misamis Oriental, is now almost complete!
According to DPWH-10, the only remaining part are the civil works in Brgy. Puntod. This includes the construction of the rotunda that will connect CDO’s 3rd bridge to the road section in the area of the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA).
Once finished, the aesthetic component of the coastal road like streetlights, pavement markings, bike lanes, and others will be implemented.

Meanwhile, Phase 2 of this Coastal Road project is planned for next year. It will extend by about 9.3 kilometers, from Brgy. Puerto to Gusa.
This will reduce the travel time from Puerto and Igpit from 1 hour and 30 minutes to only around 25 minutes.
