12 Oct Some 550 Sacks of Pirated DVDs and CDs Worth P77-M Confiscated in Cogon Market
Last October 11, 2016, Tuesday, some 550 sacks of pirated DVDs and CDs were confiscated in Cogon market by personnel of the Optical Media Board of Cagayan de Oro. The said pirated DVDs and CDs are estimated to value P77 million.
According to Atty. Anselmo Adriano, OMB Chairman/CEO, they’ll be crushing the discs to make it become unsellable to the public.
Meanwhile, Adriano said that there were neither vendors arrested nor charged with cases. However, he warned the vendors who will continue selling pirated DVDs and CDs that they will be arrested and be charged with cases in the court.
