20 Jul PLDT Ties Up with Intel to Produce Intel Products Accessible to Small Business Owners
PLDT Incorporated and its partnership with tech giant Intel will start the pitch to improve their services to the micro-, small- and medium-enterprises (MSME) in the Philippines.
PLDT will provide ready-to-use tech solutions for MSME entrepreneurs in 3 different categories; website building, point of sales (POS), and connectivity.
The First bundle is the Website Building crate that will render MSMEs easy to use media to give a digital storefront to increase customer engagement.
The second bundle is the POS crate that will enable tasks to be automated by the recording of sales and inventory. Also, it is equipped with a simple data analysis program that will let you scrutinize the data received in the POS.
The third and last bundle is the connectivity crate that is intended to provide smarter conferencing enabling business owners to communicate with partners and clients.
Albert Mitchell “Mitch” Locsin, Vice President & head of PLDT Smart SME Nation, said, “It’s hard for MSME owners to acquire hardware because they have to invest capital for it, as well hire an IT expert to advise them and set it up. So what we are doing is bundling everything together and bring it to customers on a plug and play model with flexibility and affordability, and support built in.”
The pricing structure for the project will be tailor-maid to suit the business owner’s particular needs.
“Everyday something changes. We don’t know what will happen next year as some new tech may come up that will disrupt everything, so we’re on a constant path to be at the forefront of the digital change,” Locsin added.
He stated that the digital pivot has no end, considering it as a change in mentality rather than a step by step process.
