02 Jan PNP Awards “Medalya ng Sugatang Magiting” To 2 Wounded Cops For Protecting Bukidnon Checkpoint: 6 Suspects Arrested, 1 Dead

Mga higala! 2 BRAVE POLICE OFFICERS– PO2 Hervey L. Mutia and PO1 Cleoford G. Cañete, were awarded by the Police Regional Office 10 (PRO-10) with the “Medalya ng Sugatang Magiting” after being wounded-in-action, and for successfully protecting a checkpoint in San Fernando, Bukidnon against 7 armed suspects, last December 26, 2018.
The said officers were injured at the said checkpoint when the suspects arrived onboard six (6) motorcycles and immediately fired their guns. Mutia and Cañete then returned fire and fought off the suspects.
1 of the suspects died and the other 6 were arrested.
