14 Nov PNP Implements Early Curfew In Marawi City
In an article posted by Sunstar.com, the Philippine National Police (PNP) is now starting to implement earlier curfew hours in Marawi City from 08:00 PM to 05:00 AM to areas in the city that are now declared cleared from the presence of terrorists.
According to Marawi City Chief Police Officer, Police Superintendent Ebra Moxsir, the curfew has been pushed through so that no one will be tempted to violate the law. However, if anyone will be caught they will be immediately investigated.
He added that the curfew starts at 08:00 PM to give residents time to attend their last evening prayer which is usually conducted at 07:10 PM and to give an allowable time for travel as some may opt to go to the masjids and walk back to their homes afterwards.
Furthermore, the declaration of Martial Law has a good impact in Marawi City as residents have become more obedient to the law.
