26 Oct PNP NorthMin Senior Officer Promoted to Star Rank
Last October 24, 2016, Monday, Danilo Maligalig, Camp Alagar’s Deputy Regional Director for Administration formally took his oath, as what is equivalent to Brigadier General in the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Police Chief Superintendent before PDGen Ronald Dela Rosa, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, at Camp Crame in Quezon City.
The said promotion order pursuant to National Headquarters (NHQ)-PNP General Orders No. 2715 was approved by President Rodrigo Duterte and was signed by Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Ismael Sueno which took effect on July 20.
“The oath-taking took some time due to the very hectic schedule of the president and the PNP chief. Nevertheless, the promotion was already in effect since July 20,” said PSupt Surki Sereñas, Northern Mindanao police regional spokesperson.
Maligalig is a member of Philippine Military Academy (PMA) “Maharlika” Class ’84. Also, he was formerly assigned with the Highway Patrol Group which was stationed in Cagayan de Oro in 2001.
