06 Mar PNP NorthMin warns public against Maute Group Terrorist Activities

The Philippine National Police Northern Mindanao warned the public against possible terrorist activities in the area. This is in response to reports that the group is doing gun for hire activities including extortion from big companies.
According to reports from Bombo Radyo dated March 6, 2017, Iligan City Police Director Sr. Supt. Leony Roy Ga warned the public after receiving reports that the terrorist group have been extorting money from business establishments.
Reports also revealed that a soldier was ambushed in Marawi City by the terrorist group. The terrorist Maute are the perpetrators of bombing activities in Mindanao including the Davao City bombing late last year.
