26 Feb LOOK: PNP To Soon Start Using Body Cameras
Mga higala! The Philippine National Police (PNP) will soon start using body cameras!
The said body cameras and their associated equipment were recently delivered and were presented to the public.

These cameras are now being configured and equipped with internet connectivity before being deployed. Police officers are now also undergoing training and seminars.
Data from these cameras will then be connected to various data management and monitoring centers in the country, once fully implemented. But, as of now, these will first be used by officers of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
ICYDK, a P289-million contract for the body cameras and their database system was awarded by the PNP to EVI Distribution Inc. in 2019.
