17 May PNPA Cadet From Cagayan de Oro College Dies Of Heatstroke During Training @ Cavite
Mga higala! Cadet 4th Class Al Rasheed Pendatun Macadato, a licensed criminologist from Kalilangan, Bukidnon, who graduated from the Cagayan de Oro College (COC-PHINMA), died of heatstroke last Tuesday, May 14, while undergoing a summer training program of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) in Silang, Cavite.
According to a report from Manila Bulletin, Macadato collapsed while on a road run training, which is part of the 10-day summer training program for newly-accepted cadets.
Macadato was then taken to the PNPA medical dispensary and was only transferred after 2 hours to the Qualimed Hospital in Sta. Rosa City where he died.

PNPA superintendent Brig. Gen. Chiquito Malayo explained that the summer training program includes running, push-ups and pull-ups, and that all new cadets undergo the same routine.
He also added that that the hot weather may have affected Macadato.
