A police officer abducted by the New People’s Army (NPA) published a video footage of him appealing to President Rodrigo Duterte and assuring his family that he is safe and sound, according to a report from Bombo Radyo.
In a video published on YouTube on February 26, 2017, by a user ‘ang kalihukan,’ PO2 Gerome Anthony Natividad has been filmed while giving his message to his family and to President Duterte.
Natividad is currently with the NPA rebels for about 20 days now as he was abducted during the road re-blocking conducted at Barangay Dominorog, Talakag, Bukidnon on February 9, 2017.
He said that he learned a lot of things contrary to what the public believes outside the camps of these militants.
Aside from assuring his family that he is just fine, Natividad also published the video to appeal to the president asking him to declare a suspension of military operation (SOMO) adding that this would give him the chance to escape and be freed from the communist rebels.
He has also called and asked for the chief of Police Regional Office to help him with his appeal to be heard and forwarded to the office of the president at Malacañang Palace.
