02 Aug Police Apprehends Pastor @ Brgy. Bugo For Conducting Sermon Despite ECQ
Mga higala! Personnel of Police Station 6 apprehended a 53-year-old pastor inside his church in Brgy. Bugo yesterday, August 1, 2021, for conducting a sermon/religious gathering activity for his followers despite Cagayan de Oro City’s current ECQ status!
The arrest was initiated after the police received a report about the said activity from a concerned citizen.
ICYDK, this is a clear violation of the minimum health safety protocols against COVID-19.
(According to reports, the police have reminded the pastor about this before but he still chose to disobey and commit the mentioned ECQ violation.)
The pastor is now in custody and may face various charges.
