The house of former Marawi City Mayor Fahad “Pre” Salic at Magsaysay, Misamis Oriental was raided by police authorities last June 28 and numbers of ammunition and firearms were found.
In an article from interaksyon.com, Police Regional Spokesperson Police Superintendent Lemuel Gonda said that the search at the house of the Maute-linked former Marawi City Mayor was ushered by a warrant served by the Regional Public Safety Battalion (RPSB) and the Martial Law-Special Action Group (ML-SAG).
Police authorities recovered 1 MK2 fragmentation grenade, 2 rifle grenades, one 40mm cartridge, 30 rounds of 5.56mm live ammo, 6 pieces of non-electrical blasting cap, 1 customized electric switch, 1 pilot valve attached to a jack connector, one 9-volt energizer battery, and 2 packs of an undetermined gray powder.
Salic will be facing criminal charges for violating Republic Act 10591 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition.
It was remembered that Salic was charged with rebellion after a document was found in of the camps of the Maute group which increased evidences of his association with the terrorist group.
