Mga higala! In a recent interview, Police Major (PMAJ) Peter Rhyan Revillas of Ozamiz City has announced that there’s no truth in the rumors about cults and manuktokays in Misamis Occidental!
“Dili tinuod nga adunay manuktok ug dili usab tinuod nga adunay kulto dinhi sa Misamis Occidental.”
According to the PMAJ Revillas, based on their multiple investigations in various barangays, no one actually saw the said manuktokays. No one also has any evidence of an encounter.
Their investigations also revealed that even the claims of those who filed police blotters were false or unreliable.
ICYDK, rumors about these cults and manuktokays started this month and steadily went viral on social media. These then caused a lot of panic among the province’s residents and beyond.
The authorities are now urging netizens to be responsible and avoid spreading unverified information.
