21 Dec Police Officers Will Not Seal Off Or Tape Their Gun Muzzles For Christmas & New Year

Mga higala! Police officers will not seal off or tape their gun muzzles during this year’s holiday season, according to a statement given by PRO-Northern Mindanao Director Chief Superintendent Timoteo Pacleb.

Pacleb expressed that there is no need to seal the gun muzzles of their policemen since it shows mistrust and that it implies that they lack the confidence that their PNP personnel will not fire their issued firearms indiscriminately during the holiday revelry.

Furthermore, Northern Mindanao police claimed that for the past two years, they have recorded almost zero incident of indiscriminate firing and stray bullet-related cases.

Pacleb also said that “We have proven it time and again. This only shows that even without muzzle tape sealing of our firearms, the inherent discipline of our personnel remained unbended in the privacy of their homes.”
