21 May LOOK: Polymedic Conducts Open Heart Surgery & Saves 10-Month-Old Baby Boy
Mga higala! The Polymedic Medical Plaza of Cagayan de Oro City has successfully conducted an open heart surgery this May 2021 and saved the life of a 10-month-old baby boy!
The baby was diagnosed with a congenital heart condition– “Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Connection to Superior Vena Cava with a Sinus Venosus Atrial Septal Defect” and became increasingly irritable, had difficulty breathing, and lost a lot of weight before being referred to Pediatric Cardiologist Dr. Maria Rowena C. Sanchez of Polymedic.
He was then checked up and was diagnosed with the said condition which urgently required surgery.
With the go signal of the parents, the donation of kind-hearted individuals, and the help of Polymedic’s amazing health personnel, the needed procedure was conducted earlier this month.
The baby boy is now in better condition, has gained weight of around 2 kilos, and is thankfully physically active.
