15 Mar LOOK: Port Of Cagayan de Oro Welcomes 1st International Shipment After Over 10 Years
Mga higala! The Port of Cagayan de Oro or Macabalan Port finally welcomed its first international shipment after 12 years!
ICYDK, the said port was renovated last year.
Its maiden shipment was transported by MV AS Romina from China and arrived yesterday, March 14, 2022.
It contained imported products like buttermilk, dry veneer, frozen foods, truck parts, appliances, and furniture along with other items from various consignees in Northern Mindanao.
The arrival of this shipment by witnessed by Bureau of Customs (BOC) and Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) officials.
These officials then conducted a walkthrough to check the readiness of the port and its facilities.
BTW, according to the American President Line (APL) 3-4 international containerized shipments per month are now expected to arrive in Cagayan de Oro.
