12 Aug LOOK: Portion Of Upper Carmen Placed Under Containment Due To New COVID-19 Case
Mga higala! The portion of Purok 5, Zone 10-B, in Upper Brgy. Carmen has been placed under focused containment due to a recent local COVID-19 case!
The said case is a 73-year-old female who died yesterday, August 11, 2020, and tested positive for the coronavirus disease.
CASE DETAILS:
- went to Bukidnon last March, returned here in CDO 2-4 weeks ago
- exhibited symptoms on August 9-10, fever and cough
- sought medical help at JRBGH on August 11 after experiencing difficulty in breathing
- swabbed early on August 11, results came back positive at around 1:00 pm
- patient died at around 12:00 pm of August 11
- final diagnosis: Acute respiratory failure (Type 1) secondary to community-acquired pneumonia
- comorbidities: chronic kidney disease secondary to hypertension and diabetes mellitus (metropathy)
- patient’s remains were cremated at around 2:00 pm
- close contacts identified
