President Duterte Approves Law Lowering Height Requirement For PNP, BFP, & Other Uniformed Personnel

Mga higala! Good news! President Rodrigo Duterte has finally signed a law that lowers the height requirement for the following uniformed personnel:

  • Philippine National Police (PNP)
  • Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)
  • Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP)
  • Bureau of Corrections (BuCor)

This law is the Republic Act (RA) No. 11549 or the “PNP, BFP, BJMP, and BuCor Height Equality Act”.

With this, male applicants of the said agencies will now need to only be at least 1.57 meters or around 5’2″ in height.

Meanwhile, female applicants will be required to be at least 1.52 meters or about 5’0″ tall.
