19 Jan Pres. Duterte Mentions Names Of 89 Brgy. Captains Suspended Due To SAP Anomalies

Mga higala! During a public address aired yesterday, January 18, 2021, President Rodrigo Duterte explicitly mentioned the names of 89 barangay captains who were allegedly involved in the distribution anomalies of Social Amelioration Program (SAP) funds!
The mentioned names were from various towns in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The said barangay officials were issued with preventive suspension orders by the Office of the Ombudsman pending the investigation of their “malversation of public funds” cases.
“Itong mga barangay captain I warned you, pag-umpisa pa lang sinabi ko, do not f*** with this Pantawid, iyong panahon ng COVID na namigay ng gobyerno ng pera para sa mahihirap. Sinabi ko na lalo na sa barangay level, huwag na huwag ninyo gawin. Now, ito suspendido for six months, then mag-hearing sa kaso mo.
If a case is filed against you kasi pera ito, either pera na binulsa ninyo or hindi ninyo ginamit o ano mang kabulastugan na ginawa ninyo sa pera, contrary to my injunction na huwag na huwag ninyo gawin iyan.”
