09 Jun President Duterte’s Special Mention Should Remind CDO To Comply With COVID-19 Health Protocols
Mga higala! In yesterday’s press briefing, Mayor Oscar Moreno expressed that President Rodrigo Duterte‘s recent special mention about Cagayan de Oro City should serve as a reminder for the people to strictly follow the minimum public health standards against COVID-19!
“The whole point of President Duterte’s message is that all of us should religiously comply with minimum public health standards. And the President has his own style of convincing people to comply with health protocols. His observation that there are people who were acting as if there was no pandemic was correct which is why there is this surge of COVID-19 cases in the city,” said Mayor Moreno.
ICYDK, in the President’s “Talk to the People” segment last Monday, June 7, he said that he passed Cagayan de Oro while going home and that he observed the lack of concern for the COVID-19 pandemic in the city. He then warned that he will order stricter quarantine measures if its surge in COVID-19 cases continues.
