22 Jul President Duterte Orders Arrest Of Individuals Not Wearing Face Masks
Mga higala! President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered the police to strictly enforce COVID-19 measures and arrest individuals who are not wearing face masks!
This was mentioned by the President in a recorded address which was aired yesterday, July 21, 2020.
President Duterte emphasized that they do not “have any qualms” in arresting those not wearing masks.
He also noted that the simple violation of not wearing masks and social distancing used to be trivial, but, during times of health issues (or pandemic) these can be a serious crime.
“A little shame would put them (violators) on notice forever. If you are brought to a police station and detained there, that will give you a lesson for all time,” President Duterte added.
