15 Sep President Duterte Orders Mayor Moreno To Answer Controversial P79-M Cash Paycheck
In an updated article of Bombo Radyo Cagayan de Oro, President Rodrigo Duterte today ordered Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno to submit his answers regarding the controversial complaint filed against him.
The complaint is related to Moreno’s bank withdrawals of P79 million that was questioned by the Commission on Audit Region 10 (COA-10) due to the vague reasons for the money’s usage.
Acting Deputy Executive Secretary for Legal Affairs, Ryan Alvin Acosta of the Office of the President, ordered Moreno to give his answer within 15 days after receiving a copy of the complaint of former Taglimao Barangay Captain William Guillani.
In a statement, Guillani said that if Moreno fails to convince Duterte’s office, he may be subjected to a suspension order under investigation.
Moreno’s lawyer, Atty. Dale Bryan Mordeno said they have long been able to answer the COA on the matter and they are prepared as well to provide Malacanang the right amount of answers.
