19 Jan President Duterte Orders PNP To Arrest Gov’t Personnel Gambling in Casinos

January 2018. President Rodrigo Duterte has recently released an order stating that the Philippine National Police (PNP) is allowed to arrest government officials and workers participating in casinos and other gambling activities.
In a report by Bombo Radyo, this is said to be a disciplinary action for government personnel gamblers who are supposed to be model citizens for our country.
PNP Regional Spokesperson, Supt. Lemuel Gonda said that this is also an additional measure for the war on drugs.
As of now, police forces all over the region are waiting for the guidelines of the presidential order. They will then be able to start their operation against gambling sites in Northern Mindanao.
