10 Jan President Duterte OKs P1,000 SSS pension hike to be carried out in May
President Rodrigo Duterte signed the PHP1,000 across the board pension increase in Social Security System to be carried out in May this year.
“President Duterte has approved the P 1,000 hike this month,” Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella said in a press briefing this afternoon.
The second portion of the SSS pension amounting to P1,000 will be given by 2019, this will complete the P2,000 SSS Pension Hike.
SSS President/CEO Emmanuael Dooc said the contribution will rise by 1.5% yearly until it reaches 17% however Dooc encourages citizen for strict compliance of SSS payments.
