17 Nov President Duterte Urges LGUs To Restrict Unvaccinated Minors In Public Places
Mga higala! President Rodrigo Duterte is now calling on all local government units (LGUs) to implement mandates restricting unvaccinated minors from visiting public places like malls!
“I am calling on all local government units to consider passing ordinances for age restrictions among minors who can be allowed to go to the malls,” said the President.
President Duterte said that minors below 12 years old or those who are not yet vaccinated against COVID-19 are always at risk of severe infection and added that parents and guardians should be mindful of the risks.
He then mentioned a recent incident regarding a 2-year-old child who tested positive for COVID-19 just a few days after visiting a mall.
ICYDK, vaccination rollouts for those aged 12 to 17 years old are now ongoing all over the Philippines. Vaccinations for children aged 5 to 11 years will start soon.
