14 Dec Three Officials from the City Prosecutor’s Office Were Involved in Case Fixing Scheme
Three prosecutors who are allegedly involved in the case-fixing scheme inside the City Prosecutor’s Office (CPO) are being named.
According to a report from Sun.Star, the Regional State Prosecutor’s Office disclosed on December 13, Tuesday that there are three prosecutors involved in case fixing. They were identified as Senior Assistant City Prosecutor Allan Radaza, Senior Assistant City Prosecutor Ble-sire Labuntog and former officer-in-charge of the CPO, then City Prosecutor Fidel Macauyag as named by Regional State Prosecutor Jaime Umpa.
Umpa said that he personally delivered the copy of the final report of the investigation conducted by Regional Assistant Prosecutor Irene Meso to the Office of the Secretary.
He added that strongly recommend that these three prosecutors should face appropriate charges.
Evidence gathered is also enough to file criminal and administrative cases against the prosecutors.
Other prosecutors identified as Pacuribot, Ilisan, Ecol, and associate prosecuting attorney Omar Sharief Naga were also named in the initial reports.
An administrative aide identified as Genard Abejo of the CPO was arrested last November 11 during the entrapment operation by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Northern Mindanao.
