06 Oct PSA Warns Against Misinformation About “Ayuda” Included In Land Bank Accounts Availed Via PH National ID
Mga higala! The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has recently issued a warning to the public against posts saying that you can receive an “ayuda” or cash aid together with the Land Bank account that you can avail of after getting your Philippine National ID!
The said posts aim to convince a victim into providing personal information or important documents like their Application Reference Number (ARN), PhilSys Number (PSN), Transaction Slip, and more.
This is a possible modus operandi for identity fraud higala! Beware!
ICYDK, according to the PSA, opening an account with the Land Bank of the Philippines is voluntary and is part of the “financial inclusion” goal of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys).
PSA then added that everyone should avoid posting any of the aforementioned information on social media in order to protect their privacy.
