READ: DOLE Releases Advisory About “Rules For Pay” For Special & Regular Holidays This November 2021

Mga higala! The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) released an advisory yesterday, October 26, 2021, in regards to the special days and holidays this November:

  • November 1—All Saints’ Day
  • November 2—All Souls’ Day
  • November 30—Bonifacio Day

The said advisory aims to remind the public regarding the “rules for pay” that will apply for the mentioned days.

November 1—Special (Non-Working) Day

For work done on this day, employees shall be paid an additional 30% of their wage in the first 8 hours.

November 2—Special (Working) Day

For work performed on this day, employees will only get their regular daily wage. No premium pay since this is considered as an ordinary working day.

November 30—Regular Holiday

Employees who will not work on this day will get 100% of their wage. Meanwhile, those will work will be able to get 200% of their wage.
