08 Jul Regional Police Office to Enforce “Oplan Double Barrel” 2nd Phase, Arrest Suspected Drug Personalities

Project “Tokhang” (Toktok-Hangyo) which has been implemented already yielded 3,190 individuals who confessed their involvement in the illegal trade as user or pusher. Yet, this is just the first phase. And sooner, the regional police office will be enforcing the second phase of PNP’s “Oplan Double Barrel”, an initiative of the national command.
According to Superintendent Surki Sereñas, Philippine National Police (PNP)-Northern Mindanao spokesperson, the Oplan Double Barrel’s second phase is the active operation wherein drug personalities being suspected will be arrested.
With Tokhang noting drug users, runners and small drug pushers asked to stop with their illegal drug activities, it is categorized as the lower barrel. On the other hand, belonging to the upper barrel are drug personalities listed as “high valued” targets.
