21 Oct DSWD Distributes 5,000 Boxes of Relief Supplies in Lawin Typhoon-Affected Ilocos Norte

On October 20, 2016, Thursday, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) distributed some 5,000 boxes of relief supplies to the province of Ilocos Norte after being stormed by super typhoon Lawin.
“According to sources, 5000 boxes ito na galing mismo sa Head Office natin at agad natin itong ipapamahagi, bale 1 box per family,” said Lilian Rin, provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer, adding that the relief supplies are in addition to the first batch of that was already distributed to victims of the typhoon.
In Ilocos Norte alone, a total of 2,080 families evacuated from their homes due to super typhoon Lawin.
