13 Aug Rotating Blackouts Schedule For This Week is Cancelled
“Wala nata mag-implement sa atong load shedding schedule due to the available supply of power,” Paguio said.
As Cepalco Senior Vise President Ralph Paguio said, scheduled rotating blackouts in Cagayan de Oro City and parts of Misamis Oriental under the Cepalco franchise have been cancelled since full 210-megawatt capacity can now be operated by Steag power plant.
This was announced yesterday as the NGCP has trashed its red alert advisory to Mindanao’s local power distributors because Steag has completed its mantenance work on one of its two 105-megawatt generation units giving a significant boost to the power generation capacity, said the NGCP Spokesperson Elizabeth Ladaga.
An SMS sent by Soldevilla suggests that there will be no more long peridodic maintenance schedule for the remaining months of this year but only minor maintenance activities for the short duration of 1 to 3 days.
Six megawatts from South Therma Inc. in Davao City has been continually supplied to Cepalco despite the development “aron masiguro gyud nga dunay supisinting supply sa kuryente and franchise area sa Cepalco,” Paguio added.
