04 Jan RTA Overseer Col. Monsanto Strives for Long-term Traffic Solutions

Retired Colonel Mario Verner Monsanto. The new overseer of Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA) has started his efforts for better ways in reducing the traffic problems in Cagayan de Oro City.
In an article posted by Cagayan de Oro City Philippines FB Page, Monsanto said that before anything else he wants to re-educate our city’s residents and drivers regarding all traffic rules and regulations.
“Lakip ang mga traffic enforcers ug personahi sa RTA kinahanglan pud ma-edukar,”. (Traffic enforcers and RTA personnel should also be educated [about traffic rules]) Monsanto stated this during an interview with “Ang CDO, Kagahapon, Karon ug Ugma” last January 3, 2018.
He added that some of the many causes in traffic is a driver’s lack of knowledge to even the most basic traffic signs and their inability to consider other motorists. Both the private and public sector commit these mistakes.
In accordance with this, Monsanto is now doing everything in his power to implement new programs for improved traffic solutions in CdeO.
