In a joint drug buy-and-bust operation conducted by the elements of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) – 10 and Detective and Management Desk (DMD), two high-value targets were arrested at Aguinaldo – Yacapin St., Barangay 32, Cagayan de Oro City.

According to a report from Bombo Radyo, the arrested suspects were identified by PDEA agent Ben Calibre as Fahd Abel Saab, a Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA) traffic enforcer assigned at Corrales St. and is residing at Macanhan, Barangay Carmen; and a certain Jamina Casir, a resident of Villa Angela Subdivision, Brgy. Balulang.

The negotiation was held in an inn in the city. The operatives seized 50 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or commonly known as shabu with an estimated street value worth P250,000 and drug paraphernalia.

PDEA-10 and DMD expressed dismay as they have already arrested two RTA officers who were involved in illegal drugs.

Calibre said that they already gave their warning to all RTA officials as they are to serve the public and is under the government.

Meanwhile, Atty. Jose Edgardo Uy, Task Force Hapsay Dalan Chairman, said that it is right to have Saab imprisoned as he only gave a bad image to the RTA.

This is already the second arrest where an RTA officer is involved in illegal drugs for this year.
