21 Sep San Miguel Corporation Announces P60-Billion Investment in MisOr
San Miguel Corporation (SMC), one of the largest food and beverage corporations in the Philippines and in Southeast Asia, has announced its plans to pour in P60-Billion of additional investments in the province of Misamis Oriental next year.
In an article from Sunstar Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental Governor Yevgeny Emano said that SMC President and Chief Operating Officer Ramon Ang himself has announced the eyed investment which will be allocated for several projects such as a packaging plant, a plant chicken nuggets and hot dog production, a plant for bottled water products, and a Petron depot located at the municipality of Tagoloan.
Emano expressed his excitement as the investment will also translate to a generation of a number of jobs especially for the people of Misamis Oriental.
SMC did a previous construction for its newest brewery in Tagoloan township which will start operation next year and is expected to generate thousands of jobs. The 54-hectare brewery costs a total of P6 billion and has a capacity of 3 million hectoliters.
