08 Sep SC Dismisses Cases Filed Against CA Justices Who Released TRO For Moreno’s Dismissal
The Supreme Court of the Philippines dismissed the cases filed by William Guialani and Clemente Atoc against Court of Appeals (CA) justices in Mindanao who released another Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) for the dismissal orders extending the dismissal orders served against incumbent Cagayan de Oro City Mayor, Oscar “Oca” Moreno and former city treasurer Glen Bañez.
In an article from Sunstar Cagayan de Oro, Guialani, a critic of Moreno, claimed that the newly-released TRO has been bought which prompted him and Atoc to filed a case against the Associate Justices Henri Jean Paul Inting, Edgardo Camello, and Pablito Perez, with an administrative complaint.
Atoc accused the said justices of “gross ignorance of the law, gross violation of the Lawyer’s Oath, Code of Professional Ethics, and Code of Judicial Ethics, grave abuse of authority, gross misconduct, manifest partiality, and gross violation of Sections 4 (a,b,c)of the Republic Act 6713 or the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees and gross violation of Section 3 (e) of the Republic Act 3019 or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.”
