02 Jun WATCH: Scared Baboy-Ramo Lunges At Ignorant Hiker On Mt. Apo
Mga higala! A scared Philippine Warty Pig or baboy-ramo lunged at an ignorant hiker in Mt. Apo last May 28, 2022!
Based on the video posted by The Strolling Mind, the hiker or mountaineer tried to pet the said wild animal and made it feel threatened.
Due to this, the baboy-ramo panicked and tried to bite him. Thankfully, it only got the hiker’s jacket and no one was injured.
ICYDK, refraining from petting a wild animal (and more below) is part of basic mountaineering knowledge:
- Don’t feed and/or pet wild animals.
- Don’t provoke or scare wild animals
- Give wild animals you encounter some space
- Avoid hiking at dusk or dawn
- Make noise while you hike to avoid surprising dangerous wild animals
